BOGOTÁ — BARRIO EGIPTO
Casa Buena Semilla
The heart where it all began
In central-eastern Bogotá, in one of the city's neighborhoods with the highest rates of violence and social exclusion, we opened our first home in 2002. Every day we care for more than 120 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16, offering them nutritious food, tutoring, values education and a safe space to grow up away from the dynamics of the street.
The Home is also the operational heart of all our workshops and projects in Bogotá: Tejiendo Corazones, Tallando Vidas, the urban garden, Community Tourism and the Nehemiah Project.
